A Superlative Villa

Insider’s Italy clients usually know what they want — whether a special three city trip, an archeological exploration of Sicily, a week of perfect swimming and perfect food in the south, a grandkids’ and grandparents’ trip to Venice.

Or a hideaway villa where they can fully relax and feel happy and safe, and away from the concerns that have lately affected the whole world.

In our email last month came a request that read like this : “dear Marjorie, our closest friends and neighbors the Bradleys told us about you, and we knew there was only you to turn to after they raved about you and the numerous trips you have planned for them.

It has been our fantasy to rent a villa in Tuscany for a month after my husband retires. Please will you help us ?”

Yes of course we will.

Everything we do is profoundly personalized.

This includes our villa selection.

Our portfolio of very special villas is for many regions of Italy, but primarily Tuscany and Umbria, areas which lend themselves most to longer stays and excursions from a single base.

Most often we book villas directly from the owner; otherwise the manager her or himself.  And we know every single one of these houses personally, and have slept for at least one night in every one so can describe first hand what it will be like to rent it.

We considered their budget, their family size, what they were looking for… and told them about a superlative villa that would fit all their criteria.

The “superlative villa” is surrounded by acres of organic vineyards and olive groves, on a property that is entirely private.

Early risers can go right to the pool, or walk or jog around the 220 acre property.

Or walk through the vineyards.  The estate’s wines are in the rooms, and are divine.

We know that we would go right to breakfast, provided every day : a feast of local fruit, warm sheep ricotta on fresh bread, pastries, olives, local cheeses and hams.

Words fail to describe the kindness and the service here, but tears often flow when our guests leave the manager and staff, who are simply superlative.

No request is ever too much.  They are warm, sincere and determined to make your stay very special.

When you too begin to think about a villa — a safe, private place to enjoy with friends and family —  just let us know.  Complete our no obligation survey at www.insidersitaly.com   We will be back to you immediately with tailor made suggestions.
