Giving Thanks in Italy
There is so much to be thankful for that I know not where to start.
I am thankful for you, my clients, whom for over three decades have returned to Italy again and again. Your referrals and your loyalty is what has kept us going during 17 months of pandemic travel ban.
To see so many of you reaching out to discuss Italy 2022 is a gift beyond measure.

I am thankful for some of the boldest and most successful COVID policy in the world, and deeply grateful to Italians for their compliance. Italy has fewer COVID cases per capita than any other European country except Spain.
Italy has imposed and enforced Green Pass requirements (vaccination, recent disease, or a negative swab) not only to enter restaurants and museums and movies but also just to go to work.
Masks are required in all public indoor spaces. Italians are mostly exceptionally compliant about wearing masks. A surprising number wear them outdoors as well. And 87% of all Italians over 12 have had a dose, 85% are fully vaccinated. Boosters are well underway here and the young middle aged are now at the front of the queue.
And I am grateful for Italy.
