Where Else ?

This city center, four-star, family-run Florence hotel is my children’s favorite.

Where else, when there are children guests at Christmas-time, does the owner leave on their pillows a token for one long turn on the famous holiday-time merry-go-round ?

Where else, when an elderly guest arrives by taxi, does the owner step out of the hotel and extend an arm and personally escort her over an uneven curb into the hotel ?

What other hotel puts soft, Italian-made teddy bears into the cribs of arriving baby guests ?

What other hotel offers a perfect kitchenette — with crystal wine glasses, excellent napkins, Ginori plates and Alessi kitchen and silverware, and leaves a note asking you please to leave all dishes for the housekeepers to wash ?

What other hotel offers excellent lollypops at the desk for children ?

What other hotel provides a surplus of wardrobe space, more than you will ever be able to use ? (Plus a feature I have never seen in any other hotel in Italy, a smart little ironing board and iron, tucked neatly into the wardrobe, useful for quick clothes pressing ?)

The owner (with friends) in front of the hotel's portal

What other hotel asks you (and not vice versa) please to ask them to obtain train tickets for you, adds no surcharge and delivers them to your suite usually within a few hours ?

What other hotel emails you before arrival and asks if they may stock your larder for you in anticipation of your arrival and asks you please to send them a shopping list ?  They shop meticulously, and follow your every request.

Accommodations are exceptionally spacious, thoughtful in their every detail, in wonderful taste and are immaculately kept.  The location could not be nicer, just off city center Florence’s prettiest Renaissance square, in the heart of town.

Please let us know if we may include this special small hotel — perfect for honeymooners, couples and families, and for shorter stays and longer ones — on your next itinerary.
